Kaspersky Anti-Virus (KAV) or Internet Security (KIS) 2012 does not update the database (database error obsolete)

Did you install Kaspersky Anti-Virus or Internet Security 2012 and after a while 'is no longer possible to update the signature database?

The problem is due to a bug in version; to correct the problem you can contact the ' Kaspersky support or follow the instructions below:

  • First you need to disable self-defense of Kaspersky opening the main program screen and clicking on Settings, then go into advanced options (icon cardboard box) and choose the self-defense. In the right pane, remove the checkmark from "Enable Self-defense", click APPLY and then OK.
  • Then, close the Kaspersky program, clicking with the right mouse button the product icon in the lower right corner near the system clock and choose EXIT.
  • Download the file -kaspersky patch-2012.zip and extract it on your desktop (file patch.exe).
  • Double-click the file patch.exe checked out and wait for the confirmation message and then proceed with the restart Kaspersky Windows Programs menu (or restarting the PC).
  • Updating the database, if the update starts and stops immediately from 2% to 100% upgrade again until the process is not properly part.
  • Enable the product self-defense, previously disabled.
