Inspired by Article Reset Kaspersky Activation demo 30 days and comments on them here is a dedicated procedure for resetting the version 9 (2010) Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

The tool can be detected as malware, so before downloading disable the Anti-Virus
Also you need to temporarily disable the proactive defense:
- From settings> options> uncheck enable self defense
- Click on apply and ok
- Then exit Kaspersky, right click> exit the symbol K in the notification area next to the time
