Import or link tables from Access database with no extension or extensions are not supported

In Microsoft Access, you can in a very simple link or import tables from another database, just create a new database, go to the tables, press the right button and select import or link.

The problem comes when the database has the classic extensions, because the selection window can not be set as a filter extensions all files (*.)

Here's a workaround

1. First rename the database with a "custom" (in my case Base.test) mdb extension officer (then base.mdb)

2. At this point it is easy to connect them using the normal procedure Access, right click> Import or Link Tables ... ...

3. Once finished proceeded to link or import tables to restore the custom extension of the database (in Base.test)

4. In the database where the linked table, select it and right click> Linked Table Manager

5. Select the row by using the check mark on the left and press OK

6. In the new selection dialog, under Files of Type set to All (*.)

Select All
