Reset 30 days Kaspersky Activation demo

Category: Software , Tips and Tricks - acecondor @ 15:52

Kaspersky

Immediately after installation of Kaspersky software allows the activation of a trial period of 30 days.

Activation information is stored in the registry, changing these keys resets the trial period.

It 'must erase the contents of the following keys after closing Kaspersky:

Windows XP:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ KasperskyLab \ LicStorage
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ SystemCertificates \ SPC

Windows Vista:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Wow6432Node \ KasperskyLab \ LicStorage
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ SystemCertificates \ SPC \ Certificates

When you restart the antivirus will again be prompted to activate, including the trial period.

If the demo license is already expired when you restart Kaspersky could not accept a reset in this case, uninstall the antivirus (possibly taking the configuration) edit the registry, and reinstall.

Also tested with version 2009 and 2010!

UPDATE

In the 2010 version you can use the special "resetter" found HERE

ATTENTION

Changing the registry can cause serious damage to the system, the user is solely responsible!

UPDATE

The procedure also works with version 9 (2010), provided that you uninstall the anti-virus software, run the procedure and make a new installation.

It Akaka, I tried, with the Workstation version 6 works fine with version 2009 (Anti-Virus or Internet Security) most of the time required uninstalling and then reinstalling, but it works.

Ciao.Ho tried your procedure with k. 2010 and windows xp pro. but nothing happens. Even the * does not * lic.ppl 'delete (access denied) despite kasp. is off .....!
How can I do? Thank you.

    • acecondor writes:

      Hello Renato,
I noticed too that you can not delete lic.ppl, I had no way of testing the comment of Vulgar Boy, but remember that Kaspersky runs as a service, then also try disabling the service, or restart in Safe Mode to remove the file.
Let me know if I will do the tests.
